GEO Lens is built to be private by design.
What we collect
From the extension: nothing. The GEO Lens browser extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data or browsing activity.
How the extension works
- When you click Analyze, GEO Lens reads only the content of the single page you are currently viewing, in your browser, on your device.
- All analysis happens locally. No page content is sent to any server — the free version has no server.
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, cookies, or third-party advertising inside the extension.
Permissions
- activeTab & scripting: used solely to read the current page's content when you explicitly click Analyze, in order to compute the on-page citability score. Never used in the background or on other tabs.
GEO Lens Pro (optional)
If you enable Pro's AI rewrite suggestions, you provide your own AI provider API key, stored locally in your browser. Requests go directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider (e.g. Anthropic / OpenAI) under their terms. We never see or store your key or your content.
This website
If you start a Pro trial, billing is handled by Paddle (our payment processor, a Merchant of Record). We do not store your card details — Paddle does. You can cancel and request data deletion any time by emailing us. This site may use basic, privacy-respecting visit statistics; it does not track you across other sites.
